Mexico City, December 5, 2019 – 5.11 Tactical®, an innovative brand of tactical clothing, accessories and gear, celebrated the grand opening of its 5.11® Outdoor & Adventure store in Mexico City, which was attended by special guests, brand executives and the general public.
The store, located in Pabellón Polanco, reinforces 5.11 Tactical®'s plan to expand its chain of stores around the world and boost its adventure clothing division.
5.11 Tactical® is the most recognized brand of tactical clothing and accessories for security professionals, emergency responders, special services personnel, and adventurers. Its history dates back to 1968, when Royal Robbins, a pioneer in free climbing—and already the owner of a clothing company—set out to create durable and rugged pants for mountaineering. The name 5.11® refers to the most difficult rock climbing grade according to the Yosemite Decimal System during the 1970s. This grading system was developed by Robbins and his group of fellow climbers.
